My Alpha's Moon Book Review - No Spoilers
Plot Summary
Alpha's Moon is part of the Bad Boy Alphas series by Renee Rose and Lee Savino. The story follows a fiercely dominant alpha werewolf whose life is thrown off course when he crosses paths with a human woman shrouded in secrets and danger. The alpha has been ordered to steer clear of humans for good reason—his wolf is unstable, his instincts are nearly feral, and anything could set him off. But fate has other ideas. Drawn to the heroine in spite of every warning, he finds himself battling his animal nature as much as the external threats closing in around them both. The book weaves together forbidden desire, shifter politics, and survival, all set against a backdrop that moves between raw wilderness and the edges of civilization. What starts as a story about keeping secrets becomes a fight for love, belonging, and the right to claim a mate—however impossible the odds.
Why I Love This Book
I love the intensity of the connection between the characters in this book. The alpha hero is wild, dangerous, and deeply protective—exactly the kind of character I crave in a shifter romance. His struggle to control his feral side, especially when the heroine is threatened, always kept me on edge. The heroine isn’t just a damsel in distress—she’s smart, strong, and willing to fight for herself and those she loves. The chemistry is off-the-charts, with tension that leaps from the page whether they're arguing, teaming up, or coming undone together.
I’m a fan of how the worldbuilding mixes wolf pack rules, shifter rivalries, and human entanglements. There’s an animalistic energy running through the whole book—loyalty, violence, passion, and that deep longing to find a pack or person to call home. The steamy scenes are intense and well-written, blending dominance and surrender with genuine emotion. I never felt like the heat was just there for shock value; it always made sense for the characters and what they needed from each other.
I also appreciate that the book has stakes—there’s real danger, betrayals, and huge risks for anyone who breaks the pack’s rules. Even the side characters add a lot of color, hinting at more stories still to come. Every time I finished a chapter, I immediately wanted more. This book is pure addictive escape for readers who want their shifters rough, their romances forbidden, and their stories fast-paced.
Who Will Like This Book
If you love steamy paranormal romance with alpha male heroes, you’ll want to read this. It’s a must for fans of forbidden romance, wolf shifters, and stories where danger and desire are tangled from page one. The book doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to dominance, power struggles, or open-door steam—so it’s best for those who like their romance hot and a little wild. There’s action, suspense, shifter politics, and enough chemistry to keep you hooked to the very last scene.
⚠️ Trigger warning: There are some violent and aggressive moments (in line with the nature of the wolf pack world), including dominance displays and battles, plus some explicit, consensual power dynamics in the romance. If you’re sensitive to these themes, read with care.
