My Alpha's Sun: An MC Werewolf Romance (Bad Boy Alphas) Book Review - No Spoilers
Plot Summary
Alpha's Sun by Renee Rose and Lee Savino is the thirteenth book in the Bad Boy Alphas series. This is a steamy, over-50s romance about Sunny Hines, a vibrant, free-spirited human woman with a heart full of light, and Titus, the gruff, dominant alpha of his wolf pack who has been burned by love before. Years ago, a quick but passionate connection brought them together—only to have Sunny slip away and Titus bury his growing feelings. Their paths cross again when pack business places Titus in Sunny’s orbit, and all that chemistry flares right back up. Titus has strict rules against falling for humans, but Sunny gets under his skin. Their mutual attraction battles with old wounds, pack expectations, and the challenge of loving across the human-shifter divide. With danger looming and pack politics at stake, Titus and Sunny must decide if they’re willing to risk everything for a second chance at happiness.
Why I Love This Book
I love how honest and unapologetic this romance feels for characters who aren’t young or perfect. Titus and Sunny both bring a lifetime of baggage—pain, heartbreak, and stubborn hopes—making their connection feel so much more real to me. Titus is the classic alpha wolf, tough on the outside but deeply wounded, and his loyalty and protectiveness drew me in. Sunny is sunshine with a backbone: quirky, open, and totally unafraid of being herself. Watching her challenge Titus’s gruff rules and shake up his world made me smile. Their chemistry is explosive, and I appreciated that the book never shies away from desire or vulnerability, even for older characters. The banter, heat, and messy tenderness between them left me cheering for their HEA.
What I appreciate most is how the story shows that love, passion, and a fresh start aren’t limited by age. It’s rare (and refreshing) to root for a middle-aged couple in a romance that’s just as steamy and high-stakes as younger characters get. The book also keeps a sense of humor, weaving in pack drama, danger, and fun cameos from previous series favorites. I closed the book feeling warm, a little wild, and absolutely convinced there’s room for every kind of love story.
Who Will Like This Book
If you like your shifter romance with loads of steam, dominant alpha heroes, and fierce, quirky heroines, you’ll be hooked. This is a great read for anyone tired of romances where only the young get the wild love stories—here, older characters take center stage and prove that passion never fades. The book is best for readers who like second-chance romance, forbidden love, and high heat. If you enjoy complex pack politics, family cameos, and stories where loyalty and vulnerability come together, this one is for you.
⚠️ Trigger warning: There’s explicit sexual content, some pack violence, and strong language. If you’re sensitive to dominance dynamics or power struggles in romance, know that it’s front and center in this book.
