My August Book Review - No Spoilers
Plot Summary
August by Dara Hunt is a BWWM contemporary romance novella. I’m introduced to Gus, an undercover billionaire, who meets Zuri when she’s facing one of her scariest moments. Their connection is immediate. As Gus grows closer, trying to protect what sparks between them—he hides who he truly is. The truth could change everything.
Why I Love This Book
I felt Gus’s conflict deep in my chest—the way he held back the truth made me ache for both honesty and love. I love Zuri’s strength, how she handles her fears with quiet grace. I love the push-and-pull chemistry between them—intense and charged, but layered with real emotion. I love how the pages fly by, even though it’s short. I root for these two as they stand close—but worlds apart in what they dare to reveal.
Who Will Like This Book
If you’re drawn to short and sweet BWWM romance with emotional depth, hidden identity, and slow-burning trust—this one fits. It’s for readers who want a powerful connection in a compact package.
⚠️ Trigger warning: This novella touches on deception and emotional vulnerability—identity hiding can hit hard for some readers.
