My Soaked Book Review - No Spoilers
Plot Summary
Soaked by Stacy Kestwick continues the story of Sadie Mullins and West Montgomery from the first book, Wet. The novel opens with a chapter from West’s point of view, then shifts mostly to Sadie’s perspective. The story picks up right after the cliffhanger in the previous book. Sadie is trying to move on and forget West, despite the hurt she feels after seeing him with another woman. But West won’t let go. Tension builds as they struggle with miscommunication, past baggage, and a third party whose presence threatens their fragile connection. Through heartfelt moments and emotional conflict, the novel moves toward resolution and growth—without revealing any spoilers.
Why I Love This Book
I love how raw and real the emotions feel. I felt Sadie’s frustration when she kept pushing West away—even when part of me knew he deserved a chance. I love the tension between them. I felt that pull and the longing, even when they didn’t speak. I love how West tries to show up—in small notes, gestures, persistence—without crossing lines. It felt honest. And I love the heat. The story gets spicy in a way that fits the characters, not just for shock. I also love Sadie’s growth. She learns more about who she is and what she’ll accept. And I love that her strength is quiet at times, building from inner resolve rather than loud declarations.
Who Will Like This Book
If you enjoy small-town romance with a lot of emotional tension, you’ll like this. If you read friends-to-lovers or second-chance stories and like a mix of heat and heart, this fits. It’s for readers who want flawed characters, messy feelings, and the kind of reunion that doesn’t come easy.
⚠️ Trigger warning: This book includes emotional turmoil, miscommunication, and references to heartbreak and jealousy. It’s handled with care, but approach it if those themes are hard for you.

Steam Level
There’s a good amount of steam here. The chemistry is real and the scenes are steamy without getting overly graphic. It fits the characters’ journey, and it's balanced by emotional depth.
