While violence and suspense are at the core, there is a solid amount of open-door, explicit sexual content throughout the series. Scenes are intense and emotionally charged, but never overshadow the suspense and character development. If you want your slow-burn romance with genuine steam as well as darkness, The Risk delivers in spades.
